Who We Are

Lucy Bradshaw - Director
Lucy trained at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art one of the top drama schools in the country. She works professionally as an actress and singer in her own right with many theatre credits and recently TV. Lucy trained in Ballet, Tap and Jazz at the Susan Nash school of Dance and Drama in Bristol and was also a member of the N.Y.M.T playing parts such as Cathy in "Whistle Down The Wind" and Lucy Lockit in "The Beggars Opera". She has worked for many years as a dance teacher and choreographer for Stagecoach Theatre Arts at one of their Head office schools but now specialises in early years drama and writes and composes her own stories and songs for children. Watching her mother teach from a young age has made a huge impact on her approach to teaching and the importance she places on children being able to express themselves freely in a creative, caring and safe environment. Lucy has produced a unique range of classes as well as bringing together a wonderfully talented team. We call it "Little Hands Theatre".
Robert Bradshaw - Writer
Bob Bradshaw has been involved in music and Drama for over sixty years. Bob had a technical education at “Bristol Tech.” and decided after his army service in the REME to become a teacher and took Music and English as his main subjects at college. He has taught classes from aged seven up to sixth form level in several primary and secondary schools, but it was in 1966 at Henbury Court junior in Bristol where he produced a performance commemorating the 600th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings called “The Bayeux Tapestry” involving the whole school in art, music and writing that brought Bob to the attention of the L. E. A. For this he was awarded a secondment to the University of Newcastle upon Tyne to work for a Diploma in Drama in Education under Dorothy Heathcote. His qualification resulted in his achieving the post of head of drama at Ashton Park Comprehensive where his writings for drama and productions achieved great success. Now at the age of 80 Bob is proud to be able to put his experience as a writer towards the success of his daughter’s work with “Little Hands Theatre".
